Gustavo Alvarez
High-level Folk Dance and Tango performer and instructor, trained at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) in Buenos Aires. He has been a member of the permanent casts of the University, the Folkloric Ballet, and the Tango Company. Gustavo is a Tango Salón Champion in La Plata, a semifinalist in the World Tango Championship, and a finalist in several other prestigious competitions in Argentina. He has also served as a judge in international tango competitions.
He has performed on renowned stages such as Teatro Colón, El Viejo Almacén, and El Querandí in Argentina; with the Argendance Company in Turkey; and in South Korea, where he appeared in the K-drama Eve / Víspera (available on Netflix).
Gustavo has designed comprehensive Tango training programs, sharing his expertise to train instructors, aspiring dancers, and regional champions. He has also actively collaborated with the Argentine Embassy in Japan and Japanese television networks, and has performed on prestigious stages in Tokyo, including Orchard Hall.
Group : winner of the 2024 Pacific Tango Championship in Seoul, South Korea.
